Rebecca Stuart is administering Karma!

They say that everything is bigger in Texas and I think that might just include doses of Karma, which is exactly what X275 driver Rebecca Stuart’s Mustang has been aptly named.

There might be a lot of you in the drag racing world that don’t know Rebecca because she is kinda the quiet one in the corner until it time to unleash. You may not know that her entire family is into racing and has been since she was in the womb. Rebecca’s father has been racing her entire life too, so this isn’t something that Rebecca had just fallen into, this was something that she was born into.

Magnolia, Texas is a tiny little town of the outskirts of the Houston metro area and that is where Rebecca spends her time when she isn’t at the track or at work. Tucked in the middle of nowhere it’s a quiet place to get away from the extremes of the race track. Though if you ask Rebecca, she will most likely tell you that she would live at the race track if she could.

We were fortunate enough to be some of the first to see the new-look layout of Karma as well when we showed up to do our shoot. Just prior to our visit, Daryl Waldrup had wrapped up a new set of zoomies on the car. Previously the car featured what most photographers shooting nitrous powered cars prefer, and that is a beautiful set of bullhorns. I will say though when Rebecca fired this monster up, it sounded like sweet sweet music to my ears.

So you want to know what is lurking in the shadows of Karma? Well, this foxbody Mustang’s chassis work was handled by Mike Tolbert at Chassis Man Race Cars. As you can see, this car has one of the most intricate wraps that I have ever laid eyes on. As a Marilyn Monroe super fan, you know I was bound to fall in love the first time I had ever laid eyes on this car. The wrap was handled by Spider Wraps, and no photos do the details true justice. Karma’s heart is mighty strong. It features a 582 cubic inch, big-block Chevrolet engine, which was built by TRE. Sitting atop this monster big block is a Speedtech Fogger system with Induction Solution solenoids attached. Everything under the hood is controlled by an MSD Ignition system and monitored via a RacePak dash. Once the juice enters and all the magic happens, the power is sent through a M&M Transmissions built 2-Speed TH400 and back to a Fab Nine rearend.

All the power in the world doesn’t make a damn bit of difference if you cant put it to the ground. In X275, almost every driver is using a set of Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 radial tires. Now imagine if you will attempting to put down 1500 horsepower and your tire is smaller than the ones on most four-door sedans. That is when your shock and strut setup makes a huge difference. Rebecca relies on Menscer Motorsports shocks and struts to get Karma down the track in a straight line and not going straight to the moon. And let’s not forget that you do actually have to stop at some point, and that is where the Aerospace Components brakes on those four corners come in real handy as well.

Some of the other details that you may have noticed and those beautiful carbon fiber quarter windows, which were procured from XCarbon. And that gorgeous helmet bag that Rebecca utilizes comes from Phat Girl Racing. Rebecca also wants to give a huge shoutout to her Dad Mike, her Mom Terri, and her friend and sponsor Justin Harris at Harris Tree Service. They are all part of the team that makes this happen. Look for Rebecca to be at multiple X275 points races this season, and when she isn’t doing that, she will be handing out some Karma in the grudge/no time scene around Texas as well.
